Foreign Agricultural Resource Management Services is non-profit, federally incorporated in 1987 to facilitate and coordinate the processing of requests for foreign seasonal agricultural workers. Authorized by Human Resources Skills Development Canada, F.A.R.M.S. performs an administrative role to the Caribbean and Mexican Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program.
F.A.R.M.S. is a private sector run organization, governed by a Board of Directors, appointed from those commodity groups participating in the program.
The 2017 SAWP LMIA application and information packages will be mailed to employers with workers who arrived from January to March shortly. Only the 2017 Interim Employment Agreements will be mailed to you; please use the most current LMIA application available which can be found on our website.
F.A.R.M.S. will accept 2017 LMIA Applications in early September for processing and Service Canada will start assessing the 2017 LMIA Applications at the end of September.
Reminder - The Ontario provincial minimum wage rate will change effective October 1, 2016 from $11.25 to $11.40 per hour as per provincial legislation. Please ensure your 2017 LMIA application and all advertising reflect this change.
