SAWP 2027 NEWS
EFFECTIVE October 1, 2026 – ONTARIO Minimum Wage will be $17.95/hr (for most commodities). 2027 SAWP LMIA APPLICATIONS MUST STATE AT LEAST $17.95/HR (for most commodities). Employers can check the Government of Canada website for updated wage rates here.
As per the SAWP employment agreement, SAWP workers must be paid the provincial minimum wage or the wage rate determined annually by ESDC (Employment and Social Development Canada), whichever is greater.

Service Canada will accept SAWP LMIA applications up to 6 months ahead of the first arrival date.
